notes to my daughter

“The perfect man? A poet on a motorcycle. You know, the kind who lives on the edge, the free spirit. But he’s also gotta have the soul of a poet and a brilliant mind. So, you know, good luck.”

~ Lucinda Williams

Is that Soub on the bike?

Last time I was on a motorcycle I left a trail of shredded cloth and blood on the gravel.
My words were probably poetic for a while.

Good luck with that.

I sense your poet in the picture above has a future involving orthopaedic surgeons and pinned bones.

Or a scattering of ashes.

Soubry ~ Well ..... I suppose 'living on the edge' is a bit of a cliche' these days. Who wants a guy who does handstands on his motorcycle without a helmet ??? I'd probably advise my daughter to look for a man who is not afraid to be different from the pack. But definitely a poetic soul and a brilliant mind must be included - and yeah, good luck with that - he's one in a million!

and he also would have to want to commit... more than good luck is needed!

Hi Pauline ~ well yes, that goes without saying. But she also must want to commit - it's a two way street.
