SOS ~ for dave who does not mow grass ~ SOS

Hiya Dave!  I've been leaving you messages at your blog.
But I'm not sure if you're home.
My messages disappear.
Maybe you're deleting them and that's OK WITH ME, Dave.
Or maybe I'm SPAM.
But really, all I want to do is say:
Hi Dave!

 a musical interlude:
Big Love by Little Village

Carrie Rodgriquez does a sweet cover of this song,
but I like the grit and honey of the original.

And your sister, Jen, wrote this really great piece about the Aggie tradition of Silver Taps. So I left her a comment because my daughter finally committed to A&M, but we are both a little scared of the "Aggie Indoctrination Process" (you know, when the kids sign up for 'Fish Camp' not knowing they are going to be micro-chipped).

Anyhoo,
Jen left a really sweet response and said 'Welcome to the family.' And she didn't just mean the AGGIE family, but, well, to your family too 'cause you and I are friends, and she feels like we're ... FAMILY.

Dave, that was the bestest thing anyone has ever said to me. Jen made my day, my week, my month!

Big Love to my new family!

Dave ran like 65 miles in 22 hours last week. He'll be writing about it soon. He is a monster-man.

Well Dave's not here in words, but he regularly visits in spirit :)

Your comments were "awaiting moderation" along with one from Martijn. My apologies. I haven't deleted any of your comments since I nuked my first 400 blog entries to oblivion some years ago. I wish I hadn't done that.

Anyway, yeah. The writing has been coming a bit slow lately. I did finally get something up about my little adventure last weekend, though, which I hope you check out. It was pretty kick-ass!

Love you, mule friend!

There you are, now Dave. I'm such a GIRL .... thinking it's all about me when really it has NOTHING to do with me.

That post ..... man that post is the craziest wildest bravest thing I've read in a long long time.

Congratulations, Dave!

and well, selfishly, I'm glad to see you here.

Love you, too, Dave.

I love John Hiatt...I'm a bit unsure about that Dave, though!

Hi Lee. I like John Hiatt too, though I've never heard of him until I found this video :)

Dave is even better than John! He and cowboy and I go waaaayyy back in the intertent years ... even before Soub, if you can believe that! I like knowing that when I make dear friends, I make them for life.

I don't know why, but this song reminded me of an old favorite of mine--"Broken Arrow" by Robbie Robertson. I think they are similar in style--I like John Hiatt.
