Thank you, Lee.My ex handed me a handful of kleenex. Wasn't needed. I did all my boo-hooing the night before and later when it was just me and my angel baby.I am VERY proud.xxx
Jerry!Absolutely and some boo-hooing as well. You know, another one leaves the nest ...xxx
Life events are by definition trying -- everything happens at once! Only one left to go . . .
Change is hard. One left .... and he's making plans :) I hope I'm up for the challenge!xxx
RDG You passed with flying colours! But we knew you would! The kid did OK also.......
Wow. It all happens so quickly, doesn't it? It's such a bag of mixed emotion too. Congratulations to all of you.
I've left it a while, to let everyone else have their say.Be proud. That girl, that child, that angel-baby, she's yours. She's her own person... and yours too. Now she's stepped over the thresh-hold, out of the place where she was a child, now we must think of her differently, as a young woman, stepping on her own, no trainer wheels now.And as you did, as I did, she'll make mistakes, sometimes she'll stumble and bruise her knees or her pride, and she'll stand up again, and set off again, and her mother will watch her, as anxiously as she did when that brave young woman was a toddler. And she'll know it.Be proud as you watch your daughter learn to fly on her own. She'll always know that her wings came from you.
Soub! *sigh* - this is precisely why I love you.xxx
Thank you, Adullamite. It DID feel like I was doing all the work ... LOLxxx
Hi Lin!Thank you and congratulations to you and yours! It was a blur ... I still see her as a mischievous toddler running through the house, unraveling an entire role of toilet paper :)xxx
