Is the pool frozen?
I wont sleep! OK, I will sleep. Have a glass of celebratory bubbly for me.
But where's the kitchen sink?
Hoooooooraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!I would help, but my back.......
We HAVE moved! But for a week and a half, we had no interwebnets, oh horror, can you imagine? The pool is not froze, the figure-skating is cancelled due to the t-shirt weather.Well okay, today is a little cooler and rainy, but warm. Moving was a gruelling experience, and of course, just moving is not the end of it.But we have a home. And it's all good.
We always used to hook up the stereo first, just to get some tunes to move us along. . .
'The Stereo'. Those were the days.Just this week, the purveyor of this blog and I were poking through a warren of old junk that proudly described itself as an 'Antique Store', and there among the detritus of the 20th century was a TEAC reel to reel tape machine just like my pal down the hall in college had. Back then, most people had compact cassettes, but not Jeremy, oh no. True studio sound, he said, could not come from vinyl or compact cassette....As he adjusted the 'Wow and Flutter'..... Oh... Another Pub Name!Anyway, Jeremy's mega expensive studio quality deck lies amid a pile of assorted trash. Along with the Nikons, Canons, Pentaxes, that also were once the real thing, and feared no obsolescence from those silly little digital cameras.
We used to have a TEAC reel to reel, eight-track tape deck years ago....before that we had an AKAI when AKAI had a good name.
